More Thanks from TfS Students

The Together for Sudan University Scholarship Project, a cornerstone of our work and the charity’s flagship project amongst all eight educational projects. University Scholarships for Women, will by 2010 have almost 200 graduates.

Below are messages of thanks from some of our university scholars.

Mona Alnair Mohammed Tutu TfS Student

I am Mona Alnair Mohamed Tutu a graduate of Ahlia University. I am one of Together for Sudan graduates in 2005 .I thank TfS for giving chances to Sudanese women particularly Nubians to gain knowledge in numerous fields in Sudanese universities. With the knowledge we have acquired, we are better able to participate in the development of our country which has been devastated by over two decade of war. I am now working as a volunteer in Kadugli with the women group society which renders developmental services to the people. I am also an advisor to the Governor on women and child affairs and a secretary to the Deputy Governor. I am currently participating effectively in governing and making decisions and I have fulfilled my ambition which is to help men, women and children in the Nuba Mountains. The nature of my work has given me chances to organize several workshops, seminars and conferences concerning women and children. Finally I would like to thank TfS for offering educational and health services to the people of the Nuba Mountains and I wish you success in all what you are doing to help women and children in the Nuba Mountains. What I could say about Together for Sudan is that it will succeed in its endeavor to pull out people from a village life full of suffering to a decent urban one.
