Grand Graduates Celebration
                                          

1. Grand Celebration for University Graduates. On a very warm July evening, a banner at the side entrance to Ahfad University signals that a party organized by the Together for Sudan Graduates Association to celebrate our 2005 and 2006 TFS graduates from all Khartoum universities is about to begin.

2. Celebrating the Second Most Important Event in a Girl’s Life. There was also a banner behind the stage on which dancing (led by the Nuba, of course), role plays applauding the benefits of education, more dancing, singing, speeches, yet more dancing, certificates of merit and appreciation all round, and finally even more dancing all made for a grand celebration.

3. The growing audience, including many earlier Together for Sudan sponsored university graduates and their families, await kick off of the Grand Graduates Celebration.

4. A Southern women’s choir breaks loose in joyful song filled with hope for education of women, reconciliation between all Sudanese and a peaceful future.

5. Dr. Gasim Badri, President of Ahfad University and TFS Patron, and Dr. Lillian Craig Harris, Together for Sudan Director, attended the celebration. Both are dedicated to the education of Sudanese women as well as to Nuba dancing.
