We regard education in Sudan as a human right and promote personal and
community empowerment through service, taking our lead from what displaced
and marginalized people say they need.
"Power to the
powerless through education"
We believe that education of women is
the central building block of civil society. Our work is carried out through
a United Kingdom charity:
Together for Sudan -
The Bishop Mubarak Fund.
"Building peace through service"
There are eight Sudanese aid
workers in our project centres in Khartoum and Juba, who
supervise our projects in the Khartoum area and in South
Sudan. Sadly we have had to close our centre in Kadugli
because of fighting in the area, so our projects in the Nuba
Mountains are currently suspended.
We draw no religious or cultural boundaries, following
the example of Sudanese Christians and Muslims working together to ensure a
better future for those whose lives have been shattered by war and
displacement in Sudan.
All patrons, trustees and officials of Together for
Sudan are volunteers and work from home.

People sometimes ask how they can better support our life saving
education and educational support work. “I can’t afford a large
donation,” some say, “but is there some way I can help?” - Yes there
is.
